Thousands of youngsters in Africa die each year because of a lack of access to medical care. In order to promote children's health, nongovernmental organizations team together with local governments and community groups. Despite anti-child labor legislation, child labor is widespread in Africa. Children are the most affected by natural disasters. As soon as an emergency strikes, the non-governmental organizations step in to make sure people may continue to live and grow.
